Throughout the school year, students of Braintree High School have been coming together to create 4 different hand print walls. Each wall represents every student of each class with their handprint. This represents the big family and community that Principal Bob Keuther wants to form.
“Well, when I first came to Braintree High School, I walked around and looked at these four blank walls, I thought that number one, anytime there’s something that it’s for, it represents the four classes, right?” Mr. Keuther, principal of BHS explained. “So I saw that that was my 1st indication and thought about this concept of how do we leave our mark…so we started first with the seniors, we’re working our way down to the freshmen.”
Mr. Keuther’s idea of the hand print wall represents how each student of each class came together to show that the students at BHS make up one big community.
“I think it shows that we’re all together and that we all come to one,” said Landon Toland, a sophomore at Braintree High School.
This idea from Mr. Keuther seems to have had a positive reaction from the people of BHS and it seems to make sure that each student will be represented for as long as they are at BHS.
“I love it, I think the kids are loving it, the staff’s loving it. I think it just represents the family that we are…The freshmen’s handprints are gonna be up there for four years. And I just think it’s a nice representation of who we are,” explained Mrs. Moynihan, assistant principal at BHS.
