If you’re a coffee fanatic in Braintree, you’re in luck! A new café has recently opened at 391 Washington Street. Jozour Café had their soft opening on Thursday October 30, debuting various types of drinks, such as matcha, flash brews, and espresso drinks, including specialty lattes.
After moving from Egypt, the family that runs Jozour has not forgotten their roots. The café prides itself on their homemade ingredients, such as syrups and cold foams. These products are made in-house each morning.
“Jozour means roots in Arabic,” explained the café owner, Maria Guirguis Samaan. “Because this is our roots.”
Angelina Tzeng, a Braintree High student and Jozour employee, has been a spectator of the opening process. She spoke about the first week of being open.
“The customers sold us out completely! We ran out of our special tiramisu along with all of our special drinks! The same thing happened the next couple days.”
The initial success experienced by the café has pulled many eager customers to check it out.
“Honestly, the support has been insane,” said Guirguis Samaan. “Nothing could have prepared me for the lines out the door and the amount of sales that we’re making and selling out literally almost every day since we’ve opened. It’s just been a huge blessing. A huge, huge blessing.
Tzeng and the staff are feeling good about the place in the community that they have started.
“As a small business, I know that we are so grateful to the public for allowing this to happen and we are very excited for the future.”

My daughter has introduced me to Jozour Cafe. As a very picky person, I am very picky about food, especially coffee. My late grandmother used to make excellent coffee. I grew up drinking great tasty coffee. My experience with this beautiful place through tasting their famous coffee and croissant was it for me I’ve been to Jozour Cafe three times already, and I’m addicted now.
