iHeart Radio’s 2023 Jingle Ball!

iHeart Radio and Kiss 108’s Jingle Ball took over TD Garden, December 10th. With this year’s spectacular line up hitting every mark in the book, the fans from all over were really getting into the yuletide spirit. Dressing up in full Santa suits and decked out in all your favorite Christmas bling. Whether you were in the balcony or on the floor, the garden was electric with Christmas cheer. Jingle Ball is a holiday concert performed by amazing artists of the year, with a special guest at each city. This year’s 2023 Boston line up was, (G)I-IDLE, David Kushner, Melanie Martinez, NCT-Dream, Flo Rida, Sabrina Carpenter, One Republic, and SZA. Hosts Billy Costa and Lisa Donavan introduced the special guest, Jared Leto. Jared Leto did not perform, which was disappointing. The crowd was quite hushed for Melanie Martinez and NCT-Dream’s performances. Maybe Melanie Martinez’s new extraterrestrial style just is not for everyone. But David Kushner’s hit song, “Daylight,” got everyone singing from the bottom of their hearts projecting through the entire building. Flo Rida interacted with the audience like crazy! From bringing kids up on the stage to sing with him to throwing T-shirts at waving hands in the crowd, and hopping on Santa’s shoulder’s traveling around the floor giving off the microphone to fans sing to his bops. Sabrina Carpenter had the jolliest performance with her red dress and her fluffy white seemed sleeves. Sabrina sang songs from her new Christmas album, “Fruitcake.”And of course Carpenter gave us her signature lyric change during her #1 hit song, “Nonsense” but her Christmas version instead! One of the most anticipated performances of the night was last, SZA. The anxious audience’s patience was stretched thin after a 40-minute delay for SZA to take the stage for her performance. But it was totally worth the wait. The line up just gets better and better each year, plus it is the most wonderful time of the year to see your favorite artists all at once. Definitely asking Santa for tickets to go next year!
