On March 26th, the Braintree Rotary Club held its annual luncheon in honor of Sue Wentworth, who passed away in 2012. They invited Interact Club students from Braintree High School to attend. Students were able to share what their college plans were for the upcoming fall and why they joined Interact.
“The meal I made for you today was made with love and respect in honor of our dear friend and past president Sue Wentworth,” shared treasurer Robert Ridge.
Mr. Ridge had made all of the food for the luncheon himself, to honor Sue and her love for cooking homemade meals to share amongst family. Her daughter Jessica was also in attendance and deeply appreciated what the club has done to pay tribute to her late mother.
Following the speeches, the “Happy Bucks” bucket went around and Rotary Club members stood up to share why they were happy to be there that day and add a donation to the bucket.
One member announced, “I just wanted to thank everyone for being here today and wanted to share how great Sue was. She never failed to put a smile on my face.”
