Erin Joyce wins Braintree mayor election

Erin Joyce beat the incumbent Charles Kokoros in Braintree’s mayoral race on November 7th. Joyce won with 52.9% of the votes, beating Kokoros by over 500 votes. Erin Joyce will be Braintree’s first female mayor.

Joseph Fogarty, Rachel Horak, and Justin Rollo were elected to the Braintree School. The three ran unopposed following Christopher Peters’ drop from the race in October.

All candidates running for Braintree Town Council were elected uncontested besides District 6. Peter Morin won the District 6 election with 63.6% of the votes, beating Mark Doucette by 470 votes.

All candidates running for the Braintree Library of Trustees, Braintree Electric Light Board, and the Braintree Housing Authority Commission won uncontested.
