Starbucks dropped their 2024 holiday menu on November 7th. It included twenty new flavors to try. I went ahead and tried five of them.
Cran-Merry Lemonade Refresher: Out of ten I would rate it a five. A lot of the drink tasted like cranberry juice with very little tasting like lemonade. It had a pretty red color to it. It has a bitter after taste. If you don’t like sweet drinks and want something refreshing I would recommend this drink; however, I personally wouldn’t get it again.
Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai: I got the chai iced but they also serve it hot. The chai has a very sweet taste to it. Out of ten I would give it a seven. This drink comes with cold foam with cinnamon powder on top of it. I think the first few sips can be seen as strong as the cinnamon cold foam might be the only thing you taste, but once the drink has been mixed together it tastes good. If you like sweet drinks, this one’s for you. I would get it again.
Peppermint Mocha: The mocha is a good choice if you enjoy hot drinks. It tastes like hot chocolate with a minty aftertaste. When I drank it, it took a few sips for the flavor to really show and for you to be able to taste it. As someone who doesn’t love minty foods or drinks it was enjoyable. Out of ten I give it a five. I personally wouldn’t get this drink again and would opt for a different hot or cold drink.
Sugar Cookie Almond Latte: I got it with ice and whipped cream on top. It had a sweet taste, a little too sugary for my liking. The whipped cream added a nice taste and mixed well with the drink. They did a good job replicating the taste of a real sugar cookie. Out of ten I would give it a six. Personally I don’t think I would buy it again, however if you like iced drinks and are looking for an iced holiday latte, I would go for this. White Hot Chocolate Mocha: It was very hot at first but after a few sips you could taste the flavor. This was a unique take on hot chocolate by using white chocolate rather than traditional chocolate. I also got whipped cream on top, but I think it would still taste good without. Out of ten I rate it an eight. If I want a hot drink this is definitely the one I’m going for. I will definitely be buying again.
