On Tuesday night Herget Gym became a fortress for our beloved boys’.

basketball teams as all three teams gained another win. Entering the night the visitors, Framingham Flyers were holding a 3-9 overall record and a 0-3 league record. While our own Braintree Wamps were coming into the game being 5-10 overall and 3-6 in the league. Both varsity teams were coming to compete and improve their records with Braintree being favored to win. The matchups started dominant for Braintree from the first whistle. Braintree freshmen boys came out and put five points on the board before letting Framingham even get one point themselves. By the time the horn went off for halftime the margin between the teams grew as it continued to be in favor of the Wamps. The game continued to look in favor of Braintree through the second half. In the end, Braintree Freshmen Boys earned a win by defeating Framingham Freshmen boys with a score of 55-38. Junior Varsity stepped on the court and they meant business. From the start, the JV boys were looking dominant as they had put up 15 points by the end of the first quarter while only allowing their opponents to gain 3. As halftime came the

Wamps were ahead by 18 points and they continued to dominate for the rest of the game. The game ended with Braintree victorious over Framingham with a score of 58-33. Overall Braintree has had a great night by being 2-0 against their opponents with now the idea of a program sweep being within reach. Therefore Varsity was on a mission to not only win but also end the night off with a positive. All night there had been a pattern, a pattern of Braintree coming out hot and gaining a fast lead. Varsity followed that pattern and got an early and fast lead. By the time halftime came our Wamps were up by 12 points and the fans were happy. During halftime, while both teams were planning their second-half tactics the boys from Braintree Youth Basketball got to play their own game on the court that night during halftime. After an entertaining intermission, our Braintree Varsity boys came out and got the job done. Our Braintree boys continued to dominate the half as they ended the game with the score of 41-29. What a great night of winning it was for the players as well as entertaining for the fans. It was a great day to be a Wamp!
