What will you miss the most about Braintree High? “Oh my god the kids.”
On February 28, Ms. Frasier, the beloved security booth manager at Braintree High School, retired after twenty-five years to spend more time with her granddaughter, Cecilia.
Over the years, Ms. Frasier has become a cornerstone of the school community. Known for always being helpful and kind, she has gone above and beyond her role to assist students, staff, and visitors. Whether it’s offering directions, answering questions about school policies, or simply being a friendly face to talk to, Ms. Frasier has consistently made a positive impact. Her patience and warmth have made her a special person to everyone at Braintree High.
Reflecting on her time at the school, Ms. Frasier shared her thoughts on the biggest changes she’s witnessed, “Haven’t you seen? Halter straps in January! Lots of slippers and pajamas to school.” While her primary focus has been working with students, she has enjoyed observing how trends and styles have changed over the years. However, she playfully noted that students’ excuses for being late such as “I slept in late” or “My alarm didn’t go off” have remained consistent for years and years.
Before the interview with Ms. Frasier, there was a girl asking for advice about a problem taking place in her personal life. Ms. Frasier hugged this girl and spoke soft and gentle to calm her down and make her feel better. The student came to her crying and left smiling. This is just one example of how Ms. Frasier impacted the community in bigger ways than just her job.
“She really values relationships. Pouring out love and making everyone feel welcome and cared for is who she is. To make someone smile was her goal everyday,” explains Braintree High Hall Monitor Marie-Anne Baker, who worked side by side with Frazier in the security booth.
As we celebrate Ms. Frasier’s retirement, we honor not only her twenty-five years of service but also the long lasting impact she has had on Braintree High School. Everyone here at Braintree High will miss Ms. Frasier, but we are happy for her that she gets to spend time with her newest family member.
