The Boys Basketball team had their first preseason scrimmage on Friday the 6th. The boys faced off against Hanover at home. This was the first time they played at home this year, and the players were very excited.
“The boys are so ready. Hanover’s a good team, but we’ve got a good squad this year and I think we can take it home,” said senior captain Calum McClorey.
The boys had a big task on Friday, however, they felt ready. They were focusing on their fundamentals and getting the job done.
Senior Omar Ghniem talks about what the team had to do in order to come away with the win. “I think we can do it if we focus on moving the ball and taking good shots. I really, you know, trust the team, and I think we got this.”
While it was a scrimmage and there was no technical final score, it was beneficial to both teams and definitely helped prepare them for the season. Good luck to the Boys Basketball team the rest of the way, and go Wamps!
