Students at Braintree High School are complaining about the cafeteria being out of the most popular and favorite food options, like Halal chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches, by third lunch.
“The first month of school is always trial and error; the requirements for food are different each year,“ said Food Service worker Ms. Herary, “we started with 75 servings of Halal chicken but had to change it to 200 with the new demands.”
The Braintree High lunch ladies explained why some items were running low at the beginning of the school year. Students were disappointed that some of the choices were no longer available at the third lunch.
“It’s the worst feeling waiting till third lunch to eat after starving all day just to find out you can only have food you don’t prefer,” said Rory Cusson, a Braintree High Junior.
