Last Wednesday, students and staff of Braintree High School hosted an event called “See You at the Pole” that took place at the flagpole located at the front of BHS as an event for students and staff to bond. This event was a way to build the community, as it gives the students the opportunity to make some new friends.
“It’s a nationwide event; it’s on the last Wednesday of September, and schools from all over the country do it, and what it is is an opportunity for students and everybody in the community to come together and circle around the flagpole and pray for school and the community,” explained Kevin Jameson, BHS Spanish Teacher and Bible Study Club Advisor.
The event is special and meaningful for students who like to come together and pray for what’s on their mind.
“ I think it was a strong representation of the church and the people to come together to form one body and represent what we believe in. I was also happy as more people came over, and it gave me more joy and peace,” said by Caleb Louie Braintree High School senior.
The space allows for students to feel comfortable and safe to express their faith.
“It gave students an opportunity to show and profess their faith in a certain area in school,” expressed Caleb Louie.
