Boys’ Soccer ended their season with a 2-1 loss against BC High in the first round of the MIAA Division I Tournament. In the first half of the game, junior, James Munroe gave an incredible kick just in front of the net for captain, Calum McClorey to head bunt into net. Then, with less than three minutes left in the half, BC High scored with a scrappy shot in between the legs of Braintree goalie, Eoin O’Mahony. This tied the game back up 1-1. Neither team scored in the second half. This led to a 10 minute overtime with no change in score after. This prompted another 10 minute overtime with no goals scored either. The winner of the game would be decided through penalty kicks. Each team selected 5 players to participate. Braintree selected Michael Kennedy, Calum McClorey, Dylan Fernandes, James Monroe, and Ryan Smith. BC High’s goalie only saved Michael Kennedy’s shot. Braintree’s goalie did not save any shots. The game then ended 2-1, BC High.
